I'm NOT going down into that CREEPY BASEMENT!!!!!!

So, as I get out of my car at the office this morning, I strike up a conversation with a few of the fellas in the adjacent building.  They say "oh, you work over there at the bank, right?"  "Yes" I say.  They go on to tell me that Ron, the landlord called this morning and asked that the outside sprinkler timers get set.

I have absolutely NO idea where the timer is located.  I called a previous co-worker to see if he knows.  He tells me there is a timer in the corridor down to the basement.  That CREEPY basement!!!  I go, open the door and yes, there is a timer there, however when I turn it on, it appears to turn on some fan unit within the building.  I'm guessing that isn't the sprinkler timer.  Only thing I can think of is that is located down in that CREEPY BASEMENT!!

I'm not going down there...The lawns are just going to have to wait until a BRAVER SOUL decides to treck downstairs.

Yeah... No good has ever com from going down into the creepy basement.. In fact that is the common mistake in most horror movies, the girl decides to go down into the creepy basement and usually dead within the first 20 minutes of the movie.... Don't go down to the creepy basement..

I have declined many a creepy basement myself! Fortunately those are usually with a friend-client that I don't need to put a brave face on for!!! Have a non-creepy holiday weekend.  :-)

Definitely the makings of a horror movie, Stacey!  I can see the headlines now...."Local Mortgage Consultant missing.  Last seen in creepy basement"   LOL    Thanks for the visit!

It IS creepy, Anna!  I admit...I'm a whimp!  It has an awful musty smell too.  Maybe I can get hubby to come into town on his lunch.  lol

The creepiest basement I ever saw was at an open house I did for a fellow agent as a last minute favor.  I was heavily populated with large garden spiders and crickets! Yuk.... eeewwww.

You can go in the basement, as long as you dont say: "I'll be right back" :)

I'm with you Brenda!  I too hope your Holiday is lacking creepiness!  lol  All the best.

That basement you describe Juan DEFINITELY has the EEEWWWWWWW factor!  Glad you made it out safe!

Robert...any basement invitiation is respectfully declined!  lol

Actually, funny follow up to the CREEPPY BASEMENT.  When we first moved into this building I was getting my office all set up (at the time my office was located near the doorway to the CREEPY BASEMENT)  I was unaware that the phone guy was down there.  I turned around to see this guy coming out of the doorway of the basement. I just about had a heart attack!  lol

I have to admit, I'm a pretty brave girl... if it was a totally a basement I would do it alone, but I don't do crawl spaces... even when they are tall enough to look basementish.  Critters hang out in there and I do NOT like critters.

You're a better gal than me, Tammy!  lol.   Our office is an OLD converted house.  Picture dark narrow steep steps leading into dark abyss.  Nope; not this girl!
