6 Comments on Four Great Patriotic Films for the 4th!
I'll still take Patton.
30 Seconds Over Tokyo * the Doolittle raid
Pearl Harbor * Doolittle's raid is at the end
Big Read One * War in Europe
A Bridge Too Far * War in Europe
The Green Berets * Viet Nam War
The Inglorious Bastards * I had to watch this 2x to catch everything
Bridge on the River Kwai * War in the Pacific
The Thin Red Line * War in the Pacific
All great Films - I have the Patriot on DVD and I think I will pop it out this weekend.
My favorite on your list is Gettysburg! You really need surround sound for the full effect. And let's not forget Johnny Tremaine!
Gene - All great suggests and I've seen most of them except 1776. I like Wallace's suggestions too. My personal faves are Born on the 4th of July and Independence Day. However the other day, hubby asked me if I would get go and get Saving Private Ryan this weekend (at blockbuster). WOW!!! That was out of the blue and one I haven't seen in a long time.
