Delray Beach Fourth of July Events- What Better Way to Celebrate the 4th of July!

If you're looking for the perfect place to take your family to celebrate our Nation's Fourth of July then head east on Atlantic Avenue until you hit the beach!

Delray Beach may be a small town in numbers but when it comes to celebrating, we know how to do it. Grab your umbrella, beach towels and sunscreen because the fun begins at 8 a.m. on the beach at Atlantic and A1A. Artists will be out creating their Sand Sculptures, which will be judged at 1p.m. Come early to see just how they do it, and to cheer on your favorite.

Here are just some of the Activities Taking Place:

2:00 PM Surfer's Memorial - meet at the Flag at A1A and Atlantic to honor fallen surfers.

4:00 PM Cars As Art-beginning at Old School Square the parade will head east on Atlantic to the Seagate Hotel. The cars

5:45-Patriotic Bike & Scooter Parade

6-7 PM- Beautiful Baby Bathing Suit contest-

7PM-8:30- 2nd Annual Hot Dog & 3Lb Hamburger Eating contest.-how many can you eat in 15 minutes??

Fireworks begin at 8:30 with a First Fireworks salute... and can be seen from the ocean, beach, and parts of the Intracoastal

9:00pm Fireworks Display

Barbara- we walked along the beach today and stopped at our fave breakfast place. They're already beginning to get set up.

Kristine- have a great Fourth of July. It's overcast today but hope the sun pops out on Monday.

Barbara T- and good morning to you. Are you doing the cooking for the family??

Michael- just learned we can purchase ring side seat tickets to the fireworks at our favorite haunt and have a 4th of July buffett!

Marco- keep your fingers crossed for a sunny and dry 4th. You should give it a try.... it does look like fun!

BARFF- so.. when are you coming down? Lots of places on Atlantic for an adult libation.

Capt Wayne!- Good morning to you and back at ya! Hope you have a fun and safe Fourth.

Sharon- glad you liked the video... haven't tried it yet but it does look like fun.

Judy- it's one fo the things I love about Delray Beach- very hometown atmosphere.

Gabe- enjoy your visit with your mom. Call me next time when you'll be in for a bit... I'll buy lunch!

Silvia- I think a lot of FL now is cloudy and rainy so I'm hoping for a sunny 4th!

BLiz- pick up Roger and head on down! Better yet, come down in the winter!

Jerry- heard Texas has had a lot of heat! You can head down to Corpus to cool off! Be safe!

Lou- It's what I love about Delray!

Anita- Delray is good about providing all kinds of events for its residents and they're all family oriented.

Sharon- I expect to see those sand sculptures from you.

Rob- I forgot to mention the Bllues festival going on as well. If one had the stamina, you could get their at 8 and have something going on until 10PM.

Janice- I love watching them. Hope they'll be out tomorrow.

Eric- I know... if we're still "awake" after spending the day at the beach, we'll try to catch it just to see what it's like.

Patricia- Hope you're doing something fun on the fourth! Maybe not the beach but I'll bet there are some fun Fourth activities.
