Summertime on the Crystal Coast

 

I love summer on the NC Coast!  I don't mind the extremely high temps, I don't mind the humidity (okay, maybe a little), I don't even mind the extra traffic on the beach because that means that tourism is still alive and well on the Crystal Coast of North Carolina.  Everything is just so much more colorful in the summer, and for me,  it's easier to enjoy the simple things!  Seashells in the sand, water balloon fights in the backyard, the glorious colors of the Crepe Myrtles against the Carolina blue sky, Ice Cream Trucks,  Ahhhhhh.....

Its really been a beautiful summer here as well. A few days that were a bit too sticky but all in all real nice and colorful.

Clint - It has been extremely hot here too, but this morning we are getting a little bit of much needed rain, and it is only 85 degrees right now....Ahhhhh!  Happy Summer and hoping for a cool day for you soon!

Larry - You are right, We love the ice cream truck and look forward to hearing the music in the distance everyday :0)

Great post, make me want to take a trip to North Carolina ! Summer time is the best, except for the extreme heat. I do enjoy the changes of the season as well.
