Toni: I hope some people in my area see my post. The USS Hornet is a wonderful historical place to visit and seeing fireworks from the top deck should be beautiful.
What a great way to watch 4th of July fireworks. I can imagine this would be very exciting for the kids. Definitely something different.
Now that is a great way to celebrate the 4th. It kind of brings out the idea that freedom comes with a price. I am grateful for those fighting for my freedom.

I’m a little too young to remember all that stuff, especially since I had not yet been born. lol
That must be a really impressive sight in person, gazing up at the huge flag blowing in the wind and the massive ship. Seeing fireworks from the flight deck would be awesome!
Eric: It's part of our history. The moon landing and the successful return of the astronauts was a thrilling event. Too bad you young people don't appreciate and aren't awed by what was done then. The whole world loved us. It was a good feeling.
John: The ship is really big with all the smaller aircraft up on the deck it looks massive. I didn't go to the fireworks display on the Hornet, but I've been told it was very nice.
Evelyn, What a great way to have spent the holiday. I love touring the warships that are stationary in different locations.
Evelyn....a friend of mine attended with her 85 year old retired Navy father....was a special night!!!
Judi: Well next time you are in the Bay Area please stop by. It is an enormous ship and according to some it has its own ghost.

Larry: Yes. The Hornet is quite a ship. It is huge and gray and has lots of levels, but the history is the important thing. And did I say it is huge.
