What do you take to a Fourth of July Party? Something red white and blue..of course!

I filled a very large oval plastic bowl with a bag of ice, lots of great big strawberries and four pints of blueberries. It looked pretty on the outdoor table with all the other homemade delicacies and was devoured in no time. Before they were all gone...I heard someone say, "That would make a great picture."...so voila.

As soon as the sun went down on this perfect Baltimore day, warm, not too hot and a delightful breeze, our wonderful hosts put on a spectacular fireworks display. I was only going to share one photo and make it a photo blog like my friend William Johnson showed us...but I could not pick just one!

Russel, You are going to go through all 6 quarts? They are such a beautiful fruit...and the only one with seeds on the outside.(I think.)

Lori, I thought it was a perfect item to take. You need the right container, a bag of ice and boxes of berries...and it looks so pretty.

Christine, I was pleased with the firework "feathers" as you call them. I took them last night at our friend's annual 4th party. There is food and music until it is dark enough. They have on open field, we all had lawn chairs and watched the show.
