Halcyon House is one of the most important residences in Washington, eclipsed by the White House, but not much else.

This property is currently listed for sale by Washington Fine Properties for $15 million. That is under half of it's original list price when it was first offered for sale in 2008.

Situated on a bluff overlooking the Potomac River, this historic landmark has a rich history that this Old House Video Tour so richly describes. Back in the day, original owner, Benjamin Stoddart, entertained the likes of George Washington in this stately home.

More recently, it has become a popular venue for wedding receptions and other festive events.

So here is the video, with a great tour and history lesson.
