Sometimes you just get lucky and get a super neighbor. I just returned from a three day trip to Madison, Wisconsin to help my daughter build a deck in her backyard. Amy told me she had all the tools we needed. Since I was flying in, I brought no tools.
What tools Amy did not have, her neighbor ,Lou had. Lou is retired. He goes fishing every day. He knows a lot of stuff. We worked hard for three days. Amy worked. Julie worked. I worked and Lou worked. Lou did not have to work but he did. Lou did not have to have a good attitude but he did.
If you have never laid out a deck, you have missed one of life's great stress producers. It looks easy but it is not. Lou was a big help. When we cut the two by eight joists for the deck, Lou brought over his Milwaukee skill saw and cut all twenty two of those joists. At the end of the day,we were all dripping in sweat. We were all exhausted.
Lou is a super neighbor. Amy says he has taught her a lot. I feel good knowing that my daughter lives next door to Lou. Check out the neighbors on your listing. Maybe, they are the best feature of the house. Lou is.
