What's on Your Menu?

My friend Lynn asked "What's on the Menu?" for today.                                     fireworks in the park

We are having Hotdogs grilled on the grill and covered with caramelized onions and sauerkraut with spicy brown mustard.  A real taste treat if you like hotdogs.

If you don't, try one of the hamburgers topped with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle and mayo.  Some potato salad, baked beans, and watermelon round out the meal.

Don't forget homemade ice cream!  Fortunately, my sister in law is making this and bringing it over.

Are we eating good?  Oh yes!  Then after a swim, we are off to see the fireworks display at the local park by the river.  Do I live in Paradise?  Oh yes!                            

I hope your Fourth of July is spent having fun too and enjoying good food with friends and family.

The usual fare of hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken, potato salad, baked beans, fruit salad and "bomb pops" for dessert!! Too hot for anything else!

When I was growing up in Wisconsin we always had bratwurst and sauer kraut, and fresh strawberry shortcake for dessert. This year is a lot simpler -- hot dogs and vanilla ice cream.

Ricki-I'm a big fan of a good hot dog. Brown mustard, or some other spicey versions can be a real good kick. Hope you had a great 4th.
