I believe today is the first day this year I did not check my email by 7:00 AM at the very latest.  Today, before I even opened my eyes, I abandoned my plan to walk five miles--nixed those as I burrowed deeper into my down-filled pillow.  Ditto for making a trip to market.  I opted to indulge in an extra hour between my high-thread count sheets and linger over a second cup of tea.  Heavens, I also read a few chapters in a book that had nothing to do with real estate.

 

Around 9:00 AM I sauntered into my home office and sat down at my computer.  I sent a few emails in an effort to obtain a few missing signatures needed to complete a transaction, spent an hour organizing my online folders and wrote a blog post or two.  Easy-peasy stuff compared to the week I left behind.

 

I'm on holiday for the rest of day.  There may even be a nap on my afternoon agenda.  At 5:00 PM I'll be off to enjoy a family barbecue.  When my three year old grandson invites me to "play cars" I'll be ready--kids are great at reminding us of the importance of playtime!

 

I hope all my friends at Active Rain are getting plenty of playtime today!

Hi Norma!  I had plans to lounge around all day too, but this morning, just after only about 3 sips of coffee (after sleeping in also), my husband's nose started GUSHING blood. He wasn't doing anything - just reading the paper.  It wouldn't stop, so after 20 minutes, I took him to the ER - an hour and a half later, it stopped.

So half of my lazy day was spent in the ER - so I took a nap this afternoon.  Haven't done that in ages!!!  Happy 4th!

We had a 3 1/2 year old visiting us this week.  Our great-nephew Mason.  He knows ALL about play time and it never ends for him.  They left about 2 hours ago.  I'm exhausted!  I know I'll sleep well tonight!
