In the spirit of Independence Day, how about a patriotic flash mob?

I hope all of you enjoyed today and were able to celebrate Independence Day with family & friends.  And those of you in Canada, I hope you had a good Canada Day a few days back!

Children's Parade in Wake ForestI got to walk in the local Children's Parade here in Wake Forest, and it was fun!  Kinda like a traffic jam of people in the street, all going different speeds.  Some were on bikes, some on scooters (both electric and non), some pushing strollers, and some just walking.  But it was fun!

In case you missed the parade, and would like to be part of it next year, it's always on July 4th and traditionally starts on North Main St.  It has been starting around 10:30am, with line up beginning at 10am.  You can find more about that and other 4th of July/Independence Day activities at the Town of Wake Forest website

And in that sprirt of Independence Day, I'd like to share a flash mob from Cape Cod that took some shoppers by surprise.  I hope it inspires you to remember today, and what it means and has meant to so many millions of people.  Keep your patriotism alive, and work to make America worth being patriotic about!

Enjoy!

Emily, isn't it great!?  It's such a good reminder, too, that some things are worth stopping the regular pattern of our lives for.  I think the 4th of July in celebration of Independence Day is one of them!

Happy 4th!

Oh, J-Man, how cool is that! I remember our little parade when I was a kid in our little town and riding my bike! Did your little girls ride or walk?

Thanx for the video, stuff like that always makes me tear up. I love patriotism and when a group of people get together to do something soooo cooool like that!

Have a great 4th!

How wild would that be? Shopping at the Stop and Go and a major production comes out of nowhere. Thanks for the post Jeremy.

I thought it was pretty cool, Peg!  My girls rode their scooters in the parade, and then had a good time painting.

Glad you enjoyed the video!

Tom, that would pretty much blow my mind.  Fun!

Jeremy: Thank you.....Why is it so hard for people to get into the mood for good instead of evil like that which is going on right now in London and other cities in Briton??? The flash mob I saw was such a beautiful thing!...and this one. Well, I can hardly even talk now it was such an emotional thing! Thank you again..

Sure thing, Paula!  I think it all starts with intent.  Those that intend to do good, find ways to do good.  Those that intend to do evil, find ways to do evil.

Glad to provide some encouragement at least!
