HONORING OUR TROOPS! A PAIR OF BOOTS GIVEN AWAY TOMORROW TO AR MEMBER AND FOR NEXT THREE MONDAYS IN JULY! PAYING IT FORWARD? HECK NO! PAYING IT BACK!
This re-blog reminds me of an email I received years ago. I think it may have been around the time of September 11th. The email began by asking how did you sleep, then showing photos of our brave soldiers huddled in foxholes, hands still on their weapons. It asked what you had for dinner, then showed soldiers eating their MREs. Several lines asked about some of our other daily activities interspersed with photos of soldiers tending to their own daily needs in harsh conditions of heat and dust.
Our troops give up their own comfort so that we may enjoy comforts that are often taken for granted. Somehow "thanks" is just not enough. How can we do more? Glad you asked. Two contests start today in support of The Boot Campaign which donates $25 of every purchase to projects which support wounded soldiers. The Boot Campaign is a great way of honoring our troops and giving back.

The motto of the Boot Campaign is "When They Come Back, We Give Back". We can NEVER repay the men and woman of the United States military for their service - but we can do SOMETHING to help our wounded warriors coming back. Because the majority of the clients of our mortgage loan office are military clients, I, together with my team, have seen first hand, the wounds that war can inflict on human lives, whether it be loss of life, loss of limb, loss of family, or for some - loss of peace.
Because of this, we have always aspired to be a team that gives BACK all that we can to those who have given so much - and many who have lost so much. Several months ago, I became involved this non-profit organization - The Boot Campaign
