I just haven't had a chance to sit down and blog; ideas are just popping up!
We just celebrated the 4th of July - Independence Day! We go to picnics, barbecues, watch fireworks. We celebrate our freedom. I went to a barbecue with 250 other singles in Newport Beach. Fun.
And the real reason for our celebration? Our Freedom! The signers of the Declaration of Independence were signing a death warrant if they were unsuccessful. Yet the freedom from tyranny was so important that they were willing to risk their lives, their families' lives and their fortunes.
I've been to Independence Hall in Philadelphia. City of Brotherly Love. AND the birthplace of our nation. I remember standing there, (and even now, just thinking about it) getting chills. Absolutely in AWE of the courage of those men. In GRATITUDE that THEIR ACTION gave us, gave me, my freedom.
And how are we using our precious freedom? Are we being drones, going to our office, just doing the work that needs to be done? Or are we taking on something bigger?
It's entrepreneurs that will save this great nation! Entrepreneurs that will bring us out of this recession. Not someone waiting for a company to provide a job. Someone willing to put in the sweat equity to be self employed until the systems are in place to become a business owner and investor. (I'm on my soapbox here)
Speaking for myself, I'm not willing to have someone else tell me how to spend my time or what my time is worth. I can generate more than if I just took on having a job.
