Treasure Island, beach signs

Treasure Island, beach signsWhen you live in Treasure Island or anywhere on the Gulf coast, you are familiar with Stingrays and you do the shuffle automatically.

Not so the tourist. Today I went for a walk on the beach and I saw a father and his two sons in front of a "Stingray" sign.

The father was reading the sign and showing them the pictures and explaining about Stingrays etc. Made me realize that things we take for granted and do not even think about anymore are completely new to other people and the Stingray signs on the beach now actually make sense to me. It's not fun to get up close and personal with a stingray.

Good luck and success.

Yes, stingrays can be a danger if you are not careful! But generally they are harmless. I have had schools swim around me - I just remain calm, still and await their departure.

Barbara Jo, that is great advice ! As long as you do not step on them you should be ok.
