Phuket Thai Restaurant, Village Of Providence, Huntsville Alabama

Phuket (Phoo-Get) Thai restaurant is another fine restaurant in the Village of Providence, Huntsville Alabama.  Phuket offers all the traditional Thai dishes such as Shrimp Curry, Panang Beef Curry, Roasted Duck Curry and House Specialties; Grilled Rib Eye, Spicy Beef Andaman Seafood Madness and so much more.  There's also an extensive appetizer menu as well as as Wasabi Bar Sushi.  A variety of soups are available, but my favorite's have always been Spicy Coconut or Miso.  In my opinion, the Spicy Coconut is a little sweet, but is still very good.  Vegetarian dishs are also available.

On the menu at lunch for me today was a cup of Spicy Coconut Soup and Chicken Teriyaki, both were very good.  The bill was a reasonable $8.63 plus tip.  The only warning I have when ordering is to be careful about what heat level you ask for:  Medium, hot or Thai Hot.  The restaurant got a new supply of peppers in a couple of weeks ago that was a lot hotter than usual and the chefs have been trying to adjust for that.  I like hot spicy food and can take the heat, but ordering the "hot" was unbearable and not a pleasant experience...  best that you ask and don't let that stop you, Phuket's is very good and not to be missed when in Huntsville Alabama.

You do a really nice job of highlighting local businesses, Nick.  It's a great way to support our communities and keep it local!

Hi Nick - Great local blog. Sounds like a delicious restaurant. Not to mention, you were able to throw a few homes into the mix. Great job!

Nick, that spicy coconut soup sounds so good, but HOT? Yesterday we had HOT peppers at the barbecue that left my lips numb for an hour!

Nick I had Tia food for the first time a few months ago.  I am glad that I experienced it, but I can't say that it will be one of my regular stops :)

Nick, my palate tends to the mild and tasty so most Asian cooking is not for me. But it sounds like a place that recognizes your face, "where everybody knows your name?

Hi Nick, I have to say even at 8:40 in the morning, that food looks so good! Thai food can be really hot so I have to be careful.

Thai cuisine is one of my favorites and I love the spicy coconut soup they serve at Surin in Birmingham.  You have so many places in Huntsville I want to try!

Cinnamon-thanks...it makes sense to write about your area...places you frequent and have knowledge.

Carla-it seems natural to throw in some real estate news.

Ellen-my brother had peppers once that blistered his lips...that was 30 years ago...I think the numbness is just about gone now.

George-it's not for everyone, but it's nice that we have the opportunity to experience so many different cuisine's.

Ed-yes and that can be a problem!!!

Jackie-I guess I'm fortunate that I can and do eat most foods...I like spicy foods so I'll eat your share.

Ann-bingo!  Surin's is my favorite for Coconut soup.  It's not as sweet as Phuket's.  We also have two (I think) Surin's here in Huntsville/Madison.

I just don't know how you are so thin with all the restaurants you go to,  just to review them for us and your local market to enjoy!

Endre-I've got a feeling that restaurants would have to do quite a bit of restocking if you visited here :))

Craig-it's a tough job, but someone has to do it!

That looks great and I love hot spicy Thai. The last time I had Thai was at a place in Fresno.  It was so bad that went on Yelp to review it.  I have been on a Vietnamese kick lately we have a good little place close to home.
