Friend or Foe? How do you treat Referral Agent?  It almost seems like the law of nature to treat other real estate agents as competitors.  We have found that it is profitable to treat them as partners. Our primary business is in Panama City Beach, Florida. Like many resort towns the property owners live somewhere else and likewise our buyers likely live somewhere else. We receive a lot of referral business from agents all over the country and even a few outside the country. 

 

We treat all our referral agents as partners and we pay a 50% referral fee on either side of the transaction and we are glad to have these partners.

I personally treat all my colleagues realtors as Professional friends.... from the newbie to pros they always teach me new things..
