Endre,

As a Caucasian real estate broker and blogger, your blog is by far one of the most comprehensive in terms of Chinese buyer profiles.

Hongkongnese, Mainlanders, Taiwanese, and Canadian (born or immigrant) Chinese.

Precise.

However, only a handful of Chinese buyers who could really get his foot to the door to Beverly Hills market. I can see it coming in a few years though.

Selling real estate in Coronado, Charlie and I have done deals with Chinese Americans. They are hard working, family and goal oriented, super sensitive to status, housing is one of the bigggest factors as far as they are concerned.

Thanks again for the content. I look forward to more dealings with successful Chinese, from Mainland, Hongkong, Taiwan or Canada.

Cheers.

Susan

Chinese Real Estate Investors Head to Beverly Hills

Chinese Real Estate Investors Head to Beverly Hills and then consider buying their first Real Estate in the US. Many of you have seen the Headlines: The Chinese are considering buying Real Estate for investment in the US. Who are these Chinese Investors? It may seem like what a strange question. Upon closer analysis you discover that there are at least four groups of Chinese Property Investors: (1) The Hong Kong residents, (2) The Mainland Chinese, (3) The Taiwanese residents and (4) the Canadian Immigrant Chinese.

Now then comes the question which buyer are you dealing with? The Mandarin, Cantonese, Taiwanese or the Shanghais, they all have different languages, cultural backgrounds and goals in investing in the US Real Estate. Do you know who your Chinese Real Estate buyer is?

There are many cash rich Chinese and they are coming to the US to buy cheap Real Estate. There are even Tourist Flights from Mainland China to buy the bargain Southern California Real Estate. To some of these buyers, Real Estate and Los Angeles are synonymous with cheapest housing in the US.

The way I see it, the big challenge they face, is that there are only a few Realtors they can turn to get good  and Trustworthy advice. Just like in Baseball, Location is the most important Point they need to consider in a down market. Yes there are areas that have had 50-80% depreciation, but the most important question is what the Timeline is for the Return on Their Investment? The Golden Rule in a Down Market, buy in the Best Location to get the Best and Safest Return Period!

Congrats. Kwee. Very interesting.

Is it a cash buyer or a foreigner loan buyer?

Selling real estate in Coronado, we have done deals with Chinese Americans in the past, who are absolutely no different from any other Americans except their facial features. They don't speak Chinese either. But they all are hard working, family oriented and conservative. I respect them a great deal. Housing is a huge status symbal as far as they are concerned. They also place high on education since Coronado has one of the best public schools, elementary, middle and high schools.

Susan and Charlie, thank you for the Re-blog and nice comments. We used to go to Coronado Island many years ago and stayed on the Island in a quaint little hotel behind the Dell. Since we moved to Marina Del Rey we have not been down there....

Is it Glorietta Bay Inn? Or El Cordova Hotel?

Yes, Coronado is a little piece of Heaven on Earth. Coronado real estate is still the best investment people make.

BTW, I love Marina del Rey also.

What is your Asian connection?
