TwentyFeet Let's You Track Your Ego (click here to see previous episodes)
As you dig into social media you will quickly realize tracking all that goes on between all the sites is difficult.
Enter TwentyFeet.
The Problem
Tell me if this is you. You have multiple websites, blogs, Facebook pages, a Twitter account, a few videos up on YouTube, etc. Sound familiar? Well its the same way around here. It can be exhausting just keeping up with all those accounts, but then you want to measure the ROI of your social web interactions.
It takes a lot of effort to check up on all these sites, let alone check the analytics to see what's working and what isn't. TwentyFeet hopes to solve that problem.
Show Me The Analytics
TwentyFeet is a social media tracking service that assembles an overview of all your metrics and interactions. Instead of having to log into all your social sites you get everything you need under on roof. On one dashboard.
Let's get into some of the main platforms TwentyFeet works with.
Google Analytics
It happens to all new bloggers at some point. You get to the point that you're checking Google Analytics at least 1,000 times a day. I've seen it happen over and over again... just with myself. Well, luckily TwentyFeet integrate Google Analytics into your dashboard.
You'll notice that not all the robust features of Google Analytics are carried over, but it is just enough to provide you with a streamlined look at what is happening on your websites, blogs and single property pages.
Facebook Fan/Business Pages
Because Facebook doesn't have the most intricate insights or metrics, it seemed easy for TwentyFeet to port an almost exact replica of information on its dashboard. The best part, of course, is that you can add more than one Facebook page to track which is definitely helpful.
Twitter Metrics
Very similar to the Facebook data, Twitter lets you track your interaction with multiple accounts. You get the insight on Retweets and such across all the accounts. For right now the data is pretty simple, but then again that what the Twitter platform is, simple.
URL Shortener Bit.ly
This is one of my favorite pieces of data that TwentyFeet tracks. It's difficult to track the URLs across multiple platforms, let alone multiple accounts, and you have it all here. You can see what type of content has more interaction depending on the platform, and which taglines get more engagement. You are giving context to your links right?
Youtube Insights
With a daily show you begin to amass quite a few videos on Youtube, in a very short period of time. Most real estate agents will not have this problem, but that can be an issue. We're constantly logging into Youtube to check stats, look for comments and upload new shows, so most interactions don't fall through the cracks. But, if you're only putting up one video every few weeks, that can be a problem. Now you won't have to deal with that.
Is It What You've Been Looking For?
As far as we're concerned, Yes! I can't wait to dive in deeper with TwentyFeet. They mentioned that additional platforms should become available, which has me even more stoked. Go check it out, it's Free for 2 accounts, and pretty inexpensive from there.
Next up, Facebook Lockdown
This is just a quick reminder to real estate agents out there: educate your clients about social media sharing. Make sure your clients aren't losing leverage on either side of the transaction by over-sharing.
If your seller is firing off tweets or status updates about how much they just want out, that isn't going to help negotiations. Or if your buyers go on and on about how 123 Main St is a home the have to own, it's their dream, they'd do anything for it... you get the point.
Don't let them shoot themselves in the foot by not having the privacy settings on Facebook, or by sharing too much during the transaction.
Question Of The Day
So what do you think of TwentyFeet, are you going to give it a try?
