Today I was speaking with Matt Jerabek, Owner of Mr. Dry Out and is our Clearwater Florida Mold Remediation Expert. You might be wondering when you might need his services - here are a few of the times I've seen him save the day when:

This is terrific information! Florida has serious issues with mold and mildew and this can be helpful to any reader. Who would've known (on their own) to use peroxide vs. bleach? Excellent tip!!

Two homes on my street alone had to use a service like this. In both circumstances it was the washing machine line to the water that broke. Buy braided lines!

Cyndee, I never knew proxide would work. Does it work in the shower too ? Great interview.

Katrina - I think it's a great way to share informaton about Clearwater businesses, services, things going on. I got to meet a famous local artist the other day and had my camera and now you know there's a video interview :-)

Susie - there are so many things we don't know or understand about Mold - and I see it as one of the biggest exposures Clearwater home sellers have - especially with the right to sue the home seller for up to 5 years for anything that materially effects the value of a home.

All I can say is I've seen Matt and the Mr Dry Out team at work and they are definitely one of the best at Water Extraction (so you don't get mold in the first place) and the more expensive Mold Remediation (when problems are discovered)

Chris - Wow - I hadn't even heard of braided lines - thanks for the tips - I need to check into it. It's definitely NOT something you can ignore. Ironically the Ozone machines he uses also kill bugs and insects too in the process if I remember right - just a bonus :-)

Missy - I'll have to ask him to find out if we should use it in the shower too - great questions!!!

Tom - We are seeing people we help buy homes being more and more aware and concerned about MOLD - like I said - I believe it's the most litigious issue facing most home sellers in the Clearwater Florida area. The scary thing is it's a problem where what you "can't see" should really scare you.

Cyndee, Such an important post for everyone. The "M" word is such a scary word these days that most realtors in our area rather not deal with it, but I say bring it on. It's always better to be safe than sorry.

Lysa - Glad it was helpful - I spoke to Matt today and asked him about tile in bathrooms and he said that products like Tilex were designed there to do much better - this was most helpful on porous surfaces.

Cyndee- Mr. Dry Out is certainly someone your readers want to know about. Mildew and mold should not be taken lightly.
