Kris, as always; a great post! I've been telling people about price reductions compared to staging, but the most recent lady I spoke with called me after their price had been reduced! Rassin' Frassin'! May I link to this post from my website? I love being able to steer people to wonderful posts like yours!
Well done post. We wish more home owners would opt for staging assistance.

The line about the first "price reduction" should be enough to convince anyone to stage their home before selling Kristine. Well done.
Kristine, Good information! I wish more seller understood what this does for them and how it really doesn't cost them anything in the end. Have a nice day.
Kristine, I wish I could get more of my sellers interested in home staging. They usually don't think they need it. And, it does make a difference-especially in vacants.
William - thank you for your kind words - I "stage" everything - comes with the job - lol!
Richard - it is back to work and it's going to be a busy week! We all know in the real estate world you only get one chance to make a first great impression so it had better be a lasting one!
John - thank you; I always appreciate a reblog! Thanks for asking about my surgery. Right now it's up in the air until Barbara's kidney is functioning at 19% or less. Her last test came back at 28% - long story, but it's anyone's guess at this point - could be in a week or up to six months. Urrrrrrrggggg!
GF - where have you been? I've missed you! Thank you and when you think about it spending the investment to stage a home properly for this market could save you thousands in a price reduction and sell quicker!
Tom - hahahaha - very funny!
Peg - people are so used to price reductions they seem to accept them so readily when if they stage their home for a much smaller investment and really prepared it for today's market, there would be a lot less of them! By all means you can post this on your website!
Roy - I think because staging is a relatively new concept in marking homes, people are resistant and only when they see the benefits of professional staging will they realize how much better their home will show which leads to a faster sale and for more money than taking a price reduction.
Roger - thank you and it's so true. Homes need an edge in this market and that's where staging comes in. Any home will benefit from home staging!
Keith - so true! The way I sell my services is show my potential clients my personal statistics of staging jobs I've done and my before/after photos - best way to make people understand the benefits of staging!
Toni - it's our job as professional stagers to get the word out on the benefits of staging and show them transformations of staged home. Nothing translates better than before/after photos!
Good afternoon, I especially like the 3rd photo. Good composition. I have seen stagers do some amazing things...
Kristine....I wish I had you here in Bristol.....I think a lot of my clients would use your assistance....Nice post!
Hope you had a great day! ---Rob
Go Vols!
I hope you are having an outstanding week! Thanks for sharing your photograph with your comment on my post this morning.
Thank Michael and staging really does make a big difference in how a home shows!
Rob - thank you and I'd love to work with you!
Roy - You're very welcome!
Kristine: A very effective post on the benefits of staging, and the photos really tell the tale. I hope to reblog as well.
Kristine, staging is an essential of home selling and more sellers need to understand that the additional value it gives to their home and the payback is there...the pics are extremely soothing...
Kristine--great photos. You have covered every single point in your post about the benefits of staging. Beautifully done.
Anne - thank you and I try to get the word out on the difference staging can make when selling your home - we don't show our homes the way we live in them. We want buyers to see themselves living in the home!
Ginny - The return on investment (provided the home is priced right) is 10 fold - the home will sell quicker which usually translates into closer to asking price than homes that have sat on the market for months.
Janet - thank you - there is so much more to staging then the average consumer realizes it - it's our job to education the public on all the benefits of preparing a home for the market!
Kristine, great presentation. Buyers already know that there are ready to move in homes on the market. Sellers should be aware that if they won't stage, their buyers will go right to the ones who get that.
You are so right Anna - in today's market, buyers want turn key homes with fresh paint, clean and updated - that's where we stagers come in and work our magic!
Kristine - Excellent post. Yes, staging is a very smart investment - it will get your home sold faster and at higher value. it's really worth it and anyone w/ their house on the market (or abt to go) in Morris county should be giving you a call.
Oh, and I have ideas on how to optimize you footer.
Deb - so true, and trust me, replacing stained, old carpet is right up there with painting, which is why I refer your business partner and friend, Mark Woodward from Floor Covering International- both these projects cleans up the home and makes a huge impact.
I'll call you later in the week - looking forward to optimizing my footer! You are the best!
