The sheriff's Citizens Academy begins Nov. 5 and runs through Dec. 10. Classes are held each Monday from 6-8:30 p.m. at the Professional Development Center, 615 Third Ave. S., Naples.
Students will learn about the inner workings of the sheriff's office, from SWAT Team operations to crime scene investigations.
To enroll, visit the sheriff's Web site at http://www.colliersheriff.org and go to How Do I and click on Attend Citizens Academy. Fill out the form and mail it to Collier County Sheriff's Office, Public Affairs Bureau, 3301 Tamiami Trail E., Building J, Naples, FL, 34112 or fax it to 793-9339.
The deadline is Oct. 31.
