I've been starting to branch out on Active Rain. Up to this point, I've stuck to the game plan of writing my blogs, inviting people to the network and making comments. I'm not a pushy person. I've never been one to go into agents offices, begging for business. Some of you will be receiving an email from me, introducing myself if you don't know my personality so far. I say some, because I've been watching the happenings on the network and I think that it is important to choose who you do business with. I was elated to see that I wrote an email to a The Harper Team in California, only to find out that they wrote a blog, asking for a background check via other members. Here's the blog..So, what are my thoughts about the blog? I think it should happen more around the network. Understanding the importance of adding associates to your profile is critical. Many try to add as many as possible, while others take a slow and conservative approach. Here's my approach to adding associates on AR....You should be able to refer a client at any moment to any of your associates and feel confident in the service and knowledge they will receive...

Just my 2 cents :)

Good point Scott.  I've not added many associates yet, and I'm not quite sure how aggressive to be with it.  Steady as she goes...

i agree i made the mistake of adding everybody as an associate when i first joined the site and now i have to take on the time consuming task of deleting the ones i dont even know.

I also agree. I was recently added as an associate to someone's  profile that I have never seen.  The AR member had added EVERYONE as their associate.

Another AR member added me to his "AR Hottie" Associates.  At first I was offended....then I laughed it off....then my husband told me I should charge him for using my picture...lol.

What are you going to do?

AR Hottie...Good Lord! I guess everyone has their own reasons for being here...Hopefully, most of them are here for a professional relationship...Keep it to MySpace for all of the other stuff...lol

Wow, I wasn't aware anyone can add you to there associates list.  I'm only looking to add associate that I know or experience a good transaction with.  Reputation is everything in this business, so when I do refer someone the service the client receives reflects on me as well.
