The bands have already taken the stage at the Iron Horse and are entertaining the early arrivals of this years Biketoberfest.

I actually got video of this group, but I can't tranfer to the computer, sorry gang! They are awesome! Mustang Sally is the song being performed in this shot.

A wedding even took place at 5PM on Sunday afternoon on this very stage!

Local musician, Reuben the Lounge Lizard finally took the plunge!

Congrats Reuben!

We weren't there for the wedding, otherwise I would share photo's with you.

(Photo of Reuben taken during radio interview with Mickey Jones last April)

The bikes are arriving from all over the country, and I was just thrilled to find this old Flathead. It appeared to be in Mint Condition.

This Flathead and his friends came from Iowa

The Flathead was built from 1929-1936 according to the Harley-Davidson engine timeline I got from Wikipedia. If I was home right now, I would ask Steve and he could tell me for sure!

Steve and I walked around looking for my friend Black Jack, head of security at the Horse & we decided to split up, Steve in the front while I tried to locate Black Jack in the back area. I always make sure to stop and say hi to Jack when I'm at the Horse. He was one of the first people I met here in Florida.

After a quick catch up with Black Jack, I went back up front to find Steve talking to his old buddy from New Jersey that arrived on Saturday. It wasn't planned, the boys from Jersey just happened to pull up right where Steve was standing at the time.

We sat and chatted with Steve's old friend for a couple hours, then headed on to our next stop before heading home to feed the kitties...

Our next planned event is on Thursday in South Daytona at Martini's Chophouse with Big Mike Griffin, come on and join us!

Oh and if any of you from out of town have decided you really like it here, I do work at for Century 21 Sundance, come check out our listings at Century 21 Sundance Realty's Happenings Blog Page, I do some work there too!

I haven't been to Martini's ChopHouse since it was the Highlander.  I will hope to see you there.  I love that huge outdoor deck in the rear and watching all the bikes lined up.

Lysa, Sounds like you had a wonderful day.  I've never seen a bike like that, thanks for a bit of history behind it.

My parents are up there enjoying right now too.  They came in from South Carolina and before that TN.  They have been cruising around since getting back into the states from their 3 month stay int he Bahamas on their boat - which is docked in SC.  They have 2 houses in New Smyrna Beach. Man, I hope i can retire like that one day!!!!!   LOVE that place and I actually lived there for a couple years and took EMT classes at DBCC.  So, I know the area real well. Any idea what beach side lots are going for right now?  They have an extra lot located about 3 or 4 houses from the beach in New Smyrna.  They are thinking about selling and I am curious what a cleared beach side lot is going for nowadays.  Have a blast and stay safe.  Coleslaw wrestling at all?????????

Lysa: That old "Flathead" is exquisite - but the seat does not appear all that comfortable. While I've not seen such a bike locally, I HAVE seen a couple of restored "Indians" running around.

Great pics of that ol Flathead Lysa. We were also at the Iron Horse but didn't get a chance to see it. Nice to know that something that old is still in good running condition. Maybe there's hope for me.
