Local Tennis Courts in Paso Robles

local tennis courts in Paso RoblesTennis anyone?  If you are looking for local tennis courts in Paso Robles to play on, you will have three choices depending on what your needs or desires are.  I have played in all three locations and will give you my opinion of each one.

There are two public tennis courts in Paso Robles to choose from:

Centennial Park --Excellent

858 Red Cloud Rd

As far as public, local tennis courts in Paso Robles, Centennial Park is the best.  These courts are clean, have nice nets, smooth and non-cracked courts.  They are lighted as well and are on timers.  Centennial Tennis Courts are located in the back of where the YMCA is located.  There is a public pool that is closed this year for conservation and there is a basketball court right outside of the last court.  It's great if you want to bring your kids because they can play right outside of the court where you can keep your eye on them.  There are also restrooms in the park area and plenty of parking.

Sherwood Park-Good

128 Santa Ynez Ave

Sherwood Park has public, local tennis courts in Paso Robles.  It's conveniently located  off Creston Rd across from the Paso Robles Golf Course.  There are six courts and are in good condition but a few of the courts have cracks.  The nets are getting old, but it's still a good, convenient place to play tennis. I prefer Centennial over Sherwood.

In Sherwood Park, there are also restrooms and a large park to play in.  Plenty of parking.  These local tennis courts in Paso Robles are in a park that is busy with kids sports during the season and also have local team doubles that play Friday mornings and another day during the week.

Private Local Tennis Courts In Paso Robles

Paso Robles Swim and Tennis Club- Excellentlocal tennis courts in Paso Robles

If you would like more of a full service tennis game, you can join or pay as you go at the new tennis club here in Paso Robles.  I actually just joined.  The best value right now is for a family membership which includes very nice pool and hot tub, cafe, 4 tennis courts, TV and lounge area, massage and other treatments, work out facility, Zumba classes, cardio tennis classes, tennis lessons, doubles games, etc.  I'm sure you can pay as you go if you want to play for the day.  The club was just bought out recently and doesn't have a big membership following yet, but it has the makings of a special place here in Paso Robles.

Tennis memberships start at $79.00 per month and the family membership is $175 per month.  Call them for details or visit their site: Paso Robles Swim and Tennis.  Tell them Suzanne Martin referred you.

These are the three local tennis courts in Paso Robles.  The high school has courts but they are locked...fyi.

My name is Suzanne Martin, and I am a local tennis player here in Paso Robles and have played in all three locations personally.  I also live in Paso Robles and am a local Realtor.  If you are looking to relocate to Paso Robles or in San Luis Obispo or if you are just looking to buy or sell a home, please give me a call.  I'd love to help you find a home in Paso Robles. I recently visited Paso Robles Swim and Tennis Club from out of town with a friend who was a member. The Club was amazing. If I lived in Paso, I would join in a heartbeat.

Hi Mark.  Thank you for the question.  No, we don't have USTA leagues.  What we have is the Central Coast Women's Tennis League and club leagues.  SLO is a very small community of people.  Up in the North County where Paso Robles, Atascadero and Templeton are, we have the club I belong to, The Paso Robles Swim and Tennis Club, and a new one being built in Templeton.  There is another one in Avila Beach.  I am on a doubles team and we play other clubs.  Our club has some great men players 4.5+ who play singles or doubles and we have different clinics and mixed doubles, etc., all the time.  It's a lot of fun.  Where do you and your wife live right now?  If you ever want to talk about moving here as an option, I know of a great real estate agent you can talk to :-)

Have a great night.
