Want a sneak peek at a page from my graphic novel? We're having mad fun creating it (LOL)

Imagine spending two hours of your morning in a cemetary trying to get the creepiness and dignity of death right? It is not an easy task... I freaked out a couple of times because I thought I was lost. Then there's the creepy occult moment when all of my electronics died at the same time. My camera shutter actually froze in the closed position for seven minutes. I took the hint and got the hell out of there and have been writing my butt off in Starbucks ever since (LOL).

My gal pal wants to go back for sun down.

I. Don't. Think. So.

Hi C - I took this photo in the famous Recoleta Cemetary in Buenos Aires last November. I think it's a lot creepier than yours!

I don't have any problems with cemetaries myself, Tann.  Love the photo.  I think you captured it just right.  I especially love the old stand up headstones and mausoleums.  You don't see many of them anymore, especially since they've outlawed the stand up stone headstones at most cemetaries for a while now.  Of course, I may be the exception to the rule.  :)

Holy cow! That is soooo creepy-cool!!! Dick, if you have any more of 'em please post them. I'd love to see them. Scoping graveyards for artistic reference material is a new urban fantasy requirement of my graphic novel project. The artwork is amazing. I'm talking Tiffany Window amazing on some crypts (LOL). :-)

Heather, the one I'm checking out is famous in Queens for the historical figures of the early 1800's burried there. The stonework is amazing on some of the older markers. :-)

I remember when you were in Baltimore and did some photography in the cemetary. That was a cool day but not at all creepy.

Margaret, that was fun. Especially the plot for sale signs (LOL). OMG - I will never forget those (LMAO).

I once swiped a grave marker from a cemetery, not a fact that I'm proud about. I was a kid. It had a circle on top and a long pole with an arrow on the end. It wasn't in a grave or anything, it was just lying on the ground when I found it. I brought it home and my mother freaked out.

There's a pretty creepy-looking cemetery in my neighborhood, Bayside Acacia Cemetery.  The local rumor is that Harry Houdini is buried there, but I can't confirm that.

Let me know if you want a couple of pics (taken from the outside, of course).

Ooooooo... Jesse, I'm in Starbucks until 11 today. I'm going to Google it and go take a look. In Fresh Meadows right now so it will be close enough for a drive-by. Thanks for the heads up and by all means do post the pictures when you get a chance. My partners in comic book crime and I are combing New York City looking for locations to photograph and video. :-)

Sorry I haven't had a chance to snap some pics of the cemetery yet - here's a link to a Ch. 7 story on the cemetery that ran yesterday.

I told you it was pretty creepy.

LOL @ Jesse. Thanks for the link. I love you guys! Not many people would be willing to snap gravestones for an artist. You are soooo right: This place is a cool kinda creepy!!! Yay! :-)
