Miller Outdoor Theatre offers culturally and artistically diverse daytime children's programming as part of its season of free productions.  The week of July 18th is a special treat with their Hilltop Festival.  The schedule of performances presented by Express Children's Theatre:

Little Red Riding Hood - Monday

This hilarious production is chock full of music and dance.

The Wolf is having one of those bad days.  When he gets a smell of the goodies Little Red Riding Hood is carrying to her grandmother's house, he'll do anything to get them from her,

The True Story of the Tortoise and the Hare - Tuesday

A roving reporter just happens to be in the forest looking for big news when she comes across the real story of the Tortoise and the Hare.

Young Henrietta Hare is looking for a race and Grandpa G, the Tortoise is happy to partake.

An original musical adaptation by Kevin M. Reese, directed by Vincent Victoria.

Princess and the Pea - Thursday

The Prince must marry a real Princess before his next birthday or he will lose the throne, and the only way to tell if a girl is a real Princess is to have her take a test!  Only a real Princess would be able to feel a pea through a huge stack of bedding, right?

Can the Prince get his Princess to take the test?  Will she pass?

A charming bilingual (Spanish/English) adaptation of the Hans Christian Andersen classic set in Mexico.

The Adventures of Tom and Huck - Friday

In this wonderful musical adaptation of Mark Twain's novel about boyhood friends, it would seem that some things never change.  Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn are always trying to get around the rules.  After all, no self-respecting kid can pass up a good adventure.

We'll follow these rascals and their friends - and foes - as they go on their adventure.

Written and Directed by Ed Muth.

Make July 18th your week of summertime drama that your kids will surely enjoy!
