The flight was cancelled! My daughter, her boyfriend and my granddaughter all few over to Germany yesterday for a long vacation with my 'ex' hubby and his family. I took the threesome to the airport and everyone was excited to be flying to Europe on holiday. They flew from Tampa to Washington Dullus and from there on to Frankfurt. They had a connecting flight with Lufthansa to take them on to Nurnberg BUT IT WAS CANCELLED. No later flight, just simply cancelled.

Thankfully there are great train connections so they actually got to Nurnberg at approximately the same time they would have with the flight but the fact that it was simply cancelled baffles me. That is NOT the German efficiency that I remember from when I lived over there so many years ago!

While we are having rain, rain and more rain here in Florida, they are enjoying sunshine and warm weather in Germany today!!!

Cancelled! Millions of questions...no answers. Glad they got where they were going without too much hassle. Don't know much about Germany, my flight home from Heathrow last year was not very much fun. Airport personnel were very rude - something I did not expect in London. Very disappointing!

Was there something with terrorist?  Or were they just that completely inept.  I remember traveling with a toddler....not something that is terribly fun when something goes haywire.
