We all need blood in order to live and the fact is most people have never donated ~ Less than 10% of the U.S. population donate annually.
What are the myths behind donating blood that stop people from donating??
Donating blood will not decrease your strength, your body naturally replaces the fluids within hours and the red blood cells within four weeks. What takes a little longer is for your body to restore the iron lost from donating which can take up to eight weeks.
What is sad is someone needs blood every two seconds. 
A sad fact is 17% of non-donors state they "never thought about it" while 15% say "they're too busy"
Did you know the summer and winter months are when shortages are the highest??
Amazing to know that if only one more percent of all Americans donated, blood shortages would disappear for the foreseeable future.

Anyone who is in good health, is at least 17 years old, and weighs at least 110 pounds may donate blood every 56 days!!
