10 Comments on Is that what you call professional? Quality Home Inspections for Leavenworth and Wenatchee WA.
Good evening Donald. Good catch. There is so much that can go wrong on roofs. I walk as many as I can, but I no longer go on two story or anything over an 8/12 pitch...
Wow, what a sloppy job done by that "so-called" roofer. Had that buyer not opted for a Home Inspection, which many buyers don't think they need on new costruction, they wouldn't have known until water was dripping on their heads. Good job.

Don,
Some roofers sneak in a roof job without putting down felts at a new house. Pretty cheap and crummy way to do it.
Michael,
I try traverse each roof also. You just can not see the same issues from ground observation, but as you stated sometimes there are limitations.
Robin/Sue,
Yeah this was not very well performed. I think that roofer will be looking for work from another builder. Too bad they will probably get work. The builder on this home was not very happy and is having everything corrected.
Steve,
This was the just wrong. It really seems that many roof are not done to very high standards.
Good Evening Donald, an excellent post. I wonder what coffee shop the building inspector was hidding out in!
Dan,
You wonder sometimes. I pretty sure the roof was not inspected other than to see if it had a roof covering.
Does you comment on the spillage mean the wind blew your coffee over? :)
Around here roofers working for developers just don't put felt paper on under the shingles. The shingle warranty is immediately null and void. They tell any body that complains that it's 'Standard'. Just because they all do it cheap doesn't make it a standard.
Robert,
It could of that day. Very warm windy day. I left my windows open to find my car filled with dust from the site.
The builder and I have a working relationship. So that roofing company was fired and they were going to redo the roof per standards.
It was just sloppy work. The site forman said here was an extra roll of felt left.
