Being selfless is a form of art in life

How many people you know are really selfless?

According to dictionary.com it means–adjective

having little or no concern for oneself, especially with regard to fame, position, money, etc.;

unselfish.

You see they underline money?

To me, being selfless is a form of art in life. I know a few people who are very unselfish, and today I just

want to brag about them, and what they mean to me.

Being selfless has nothing to do with rich or poor, it is a character, you either are or not. Many times they put others before themselves, they try to see the good side of a person, and they don't mind to help at all. They don't expect anything in return, they are willing to share their blessings with others, they don't get mad easy either!

One of my best home sellers is sure a great example of being selfless, his wife and him are definitely wonderful people. During the time I listed their house, they always made sure they have done everything to help selling their house. When we had an offer on the house, they knew they are not going to walk away with much money at all, (serious, it was not much AT ALL) still they would help the buyer out as much as they could. They told me they know how it is being a first time buyer, and they know they are blessed, they just want to help and they are totally fine with it. They almost made me cry. I am the one who is very blessed to meet them in my lifetime. They have moved to another state, and I really miss them.

Recently, they refer a client to me to help selling their house, and they are also moving to another state. This new client is also very nice, they both actually are very close friends. They will be moving to where they are and working in the same place.

One thing about these 2 families, they work very very hard, they are originally from another country. They truly understand the meaning of hard work will pay off, from taking 3 jobs when they first came to earning 6 digits salary now, we have so much to learn from them.

They will always hold a special place in my heart.

Loreena, it is very rewarding when we help others without expecting anything in return, it is definitely not easy to do. My reminder to myself is always do the right thing and right thing will follow, do it whole heartedly, help those who are really in need.

Rita, Being selfless to me is like you say, when you do something and expect nothing in return, the act was enough. I'm a true believer that if we do our best and treat people well, the rest will follow.

Wanda, me, too. To me, if we always do things and expect a favor returned, it is exhausting, and that is not genuinely nice and helpful. We never know when we need someone to help us, it is important to be kind, and I am just so grateful to have met people like that, it is a true blessing.
