Veteran with VA Loan Having Trouble with Wells Fargo Modification!

One Reason I am posting this is I understand that some Banks like Wells Fargo monitor social media to trouble shoot some problems. I think this is a really good idea. I hope Wells Fargo is doing this. I also home some one from the VA (Veterans Administration) is doing the same thing.

I have a past client with a VA Loan through Wells Fargo. This Combat Veteran is disabled and gets a VA Disability check. It is only a partial Military Related Disability.

He also had a job. About a year or so ago he got injured at work and went on Worker's Comp. When he wanted to go back to work his employer would not take him back because the employer did not feel he could do the work. He began getting tossed back and forth between Worker's Comp and Unemployment.  He finally got to the point were they were going to do surgery on the shoulder and in all the pre-op screening they found he has heart failure.  He has applied for disability - and it was denied as they feel he can still work.

Now while waiting for his surgery he is tossed around between Worker's Comp, Un-employement, and Disability.  His savings has ran out.  He can barely keep his utilities on.  He is four months behind on his mortgage.

He is trying to get a modification of his VA Loan from Wells Fargo but is meeting with the usually obstacles - Lost Paperwork - they need more paper work - have to get back to you - missed a deadline and need to start over, etc . .

At some point he should get some cash to get caught up and to be able to keep up with his mortgage.  His payment is cheaper than it would be for him to rent.  In short a Disabled Vet may become homeless because Wells Fargo Bank cannot get him the right help.

In the mean time every attorney and hustler in town (or out of town) is trying to "help" him.  To date he has had not legitimate offers of help - just people trying to take advantage of him.  (He does have a Worker's Comp Attorney who is now working on the Disability with him too - but she is not handling the Wells Fargo Bank problem.)

I am going to admit that this guy is somewhat hard to deal with and not very sophisticated about these types of things.  He is frustrated.

I have told him to go to the VA and see if they can offer him some support.

Does anyone have some advise or can point him in the right direction?
