Many people are relocating to Madison and Huntsville Alabama because of NASA and the Military. When searching for a new home, many fall in love with The Village of Providence mostly because of the architectural style of the homes, but also because of the convenience to many fine restaurants within walking distance of their home.
This Village of Providence restaurant is the Mellow Mushroom where you can also get your Pizza jones under control. The Mellow Mushroom offers a variety of sandwiches and has a large bar, but this is a totally different atmosphere with aliens hanging in the rafters and a Homer Simpson-ish guy riding a rocket...also in the rafters...you just gotta go and see it for yourself. It's a little louder than most restaurants, but designed to be a fun lunch or dinner out.
The Brickhouse Sports Cafe makes some really good cheeseburgers has a comfortable bar and more televisions than you'll find in your local Best Buy. If you don't feel like being inside then pick a table outside in the shade.
Phuket Thai Restaurant is on the first floor of the building my office is in...this is dangerous! It's so easy to take a three floor elevator ride and I'm there...I don't even have to leave the building. The food here is very good and this is the place to go if you want to set your mouth on fire. They are still adjusting recipes to the new shipment of peppers...be sure to ask about that.
Grille 29 is my favorite and my top pick of the fine restaurants in The Village of Providence and probably Madison and Huntsville Alabama as well. There are some very good restaurants in this area, but Grille 29 is my favorite. I like the atmosphere, the bar and that outdoor seating is available. The wait staff is friendly and know their menu. If you make it to Grille 29 you should give the Lobster Bisque a try...always my favorite entree is the fillet.
