Ok lets face it summer is over and now what?Well time is now to get ready for the spring market.Does anyone else out here have a slow winter like we do in NJ?Thing is if you are lucky enough to get a buyer in your car thru the winter months chances are they are very good buyers.((((excluding bottom feeders)))During the summer we get alot of rainnt day renters who have nothing else to do but have agents run them around sight seeing. In this market i know you dont want to take the chance knowing they could be legite but remeber its better to loose them then easte your day if they wont take the time to prequalify first.Just my thought and thanks for listening

In the Hamptons are Summers are relatively slow because all of the proeprties for sale are rented for the summer vacation rental season. So our selling seasons here are actually Labor Day thru Thanksgiving. December and the beginning of February are dead (I go to Chile to see my family... and it's warm!!!) Then we are busy with people coming out from Mid February through the Mid March searching for their summer rentals. Then the Spring selling season begins right at arround our big St. Patrick's Day Parade and continues through the end of June. July and August become slow and difficult again... but there are things that sell during that period too. Every region is different.

Up here in Nova Scotia we usually have a very busy November / December market on the Ocean due to the fact that the homes that havn't sold are generally looked at as bargains this time of the year. People want to buy them now to get a deal. The vendors don't have to heat them through the winter, and can move on.

A lot of vendors take the signs down during the winter months and even come off the MLS , but there is a big group of realtors that still will keep on showing the properties right through the winter.
