This was unexpected. I always thought of images as some addition to the text. Something making it less monotonous and more attractive. Not like a main entree, but more like a side dish. Like veggies on a plate with a sizzling steak; they look green and cool, but you can easily sacrifice them...
Yesterday one of 7 AR servers took a stay-cation. This is a popular term now, It is a vacation, but without actually going anywhere. That's exactly what the server did. Blinked, said «Bye», and went into a coma. While AR was able to reanimate it, not all the functions returned.
One of the unfixed issues is that I do not see images both on my blogs and on the blogs of other members. Others can see them, but some of those served by this irresponsible server, can't and are still suffering from from Server's amnesia.
So here I am. I can't put a decent blog out there, as I can't put an image. Except from me nobody will see it (at least until AR figures this out). Well, @hit happens... So, I figured that meanwhile I still can leave comments and get my 10 daily routine done.
Not so easy. I did not even expect how wrong I was thinking about images as side dish, which can be easily sacrificed.
I went to read Alan May's Where are the pedals for that thing? I read his wonderfully written post about something he saw and took the picture of, but all I could see was a placeholder...
So I went to Sasha Dear's Frustrated Seller sent me this email...please read She invited me to tell her what I thought based on the photos, but all I could see were 7 placeholders.
Then I went to Eric Cooper's Do animals dream? I know Eric as an excellent photographer, and I could only regret that I did not see the photos, but here at least I managed to leave a general comment.
I stopped to read Jane Grant's Temecula Condominiums but what can you write about the condominiums, when you have no idea what they are and how they look.
So, making 5 comments took more time and effort that I ever expected.
