Are you looking for a place with sun, fun and view? Then I have found them for you all in one place, that place is Altamont Park in Clackamas, Oregon. This park was pretty amazing, lots of things for the kids to do and boy did they have fun!

As for the sun, no shade at this one, but when you have been locked up in a house by the rain all winter long, who cares, you want as much sun as you can get! I think the kids were ready for the sun as well, as I don’t think I heard them complain once about it.

Last, but not least, the view and what a view it was! To the north, you had a wonderful view of Mount St. Helen and to the west you could see the City of Portland and to the south you could see Milwaukie and Gladstone. What was amazing is that talking to someone else at the park was how popular this park is on the 4th of July as you can see 3 major fire work shows from this park. (Lake Oswego, Portland and the Vancouver fireworks show)

Todd: I don't know this park, but know my way around Clackamas. I love that view of Mt St Helens. U didn't know you could see the mountain from Clackamas. I got a really nice couple of shots of St Helens and Mt Rainier from Scappoose. I was down at Mark's on the Channel one summer day a few years ago.
