SOLD: New Constuction Home in Gainesville's Glenkirk Estates
At the beginning of the year, I was contacted by Buyers who wanted to purchase new construction. By February 13th, they were under contract with Drees Homes for a single family home in Glenkirk Estates. I'm not one that easily visualize what a home will look like from a floor plan, but apparently they can. They chose the Walden model that wasn't the on-site model.
The purchase of a single family home in Glenkirk Estates is a purchase that easily approach half a million dollars. And one of the most important things to these Buyers was that they wanted a bow on their front door on settlement day. Small request, right? Well, that request came from the builder of their previous home forgetting to do the bow for them, though they seemed to remember everyone else who bought on their street.
Drees Homes does not do bows on front doors on their homes as standard practice. So yesterday I was busy picking out ribbon at Michael's. My husband, thankfully, was there to save me from myself as I struggled to make a great looking bow. The bow turned out thanks to him. All I had to do was place it on the door. Try doing that when you have limited time and the Buyers beat you to the house. Thankfully, while they were getting a quote on painting the basement, I was busy hooking up the bow. By the time we left for settlement, it was a very happy looking house.
This Walden model in Glenkirk Estates sold today for $536,347. The main level boasted ceramic tile flooring in the kitchen and sunroom. The kitchen was gorgeous with cherry cabinets and granite counters. And the basement was finished to include another full bathroom, large recreation area, and a home theather room...already prewired and ready for the projector. The Buyers even got closing cost help from the builder and some incentive money for upgrades.
