Full-Time Dreams and Part-Time Habits

Last week my business partner made a thought provoking comment.  He said,  "You know, we have full-time dreams with part-time habits" Wow, talk about an epiphany, that really hit home!  Do you have full-Time Dreams with Part-Time Habits to support those dreams?    Although I have been very successful with my part-time habits, I am not satisfied, I have bigger goals and bigger dreams.  Do you too?   Think about what success means to you and how you plan to achieve it.

1. Develop SMART goals to set a path for success
Few people get where they're going if they don't set goals. The SMART goal setting system consists of specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and timely goals.

2. Adapt an attitude of success to overcome obstacles & fears
A positive mindset and attitude are the precursor to success in any endeavor. Do whatever it takes to adapt a positive focus and you will overcome your obstacles and fears.

3. Establish a plan & take effective action
Once you know where you're going, you need a plan to get there. Then you need to take the necessary actions on a regular basis that will help you reach your destination.

4. Build an effective support team: coaches, mentors & assistants
Few people achieve success on their own. You will find coaches and mentors to support your journey. And you will learn to delegate those activities that are not the best use of your time and energy.

5. Pursue ongoing education & learn from your mistakes
Do you continually read books and take seminars and teleclasses? Keep up on your education and turn your mistakes into learning opportunities. Life is one long classroom.

6. Help others achieve their goals & you will achieve yours
Zig Ziglar said, "You can have everything in life that you want if you will just help enough other people get what they want."

7. Live a balanced, happy, passionate life Find a balance between your personal and professional life and each will be that much more successful.

"The difference between those who live the life of their dreams and those who don't is the successful ones use their mind and their skills to develop habits of success"  Tim McKee ~ Pathways Business Associates

Strength does not come from winning. Your struggles develop your strengths. When you go through hardships and decide not to surrender, that is strength.   California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger                 ***********************************************************************

"The difference between getting somewhere and nowhere is the courage to make an early start. The fellow who sits still and does just what he is told will never be told to do big things."
