Tax Seaons Is Just Around The Corner

Well it's almost that time of year again and for those of us in the mortgage business it's a great time to reach out to those customers who closed mortgages with us in 2006.

One of the many things I do to stay in front of my customers and help to provide outstanding service is mail out a copy of their HUD along with a quick note:

" I have enclosed a copy of your final HUD settlement from your home purchase, you will be needing this for your taxes" . I Hope all is well, best wishes for health, wealth and happiness to you and your family in 2007"

Leo Namiot - Home Mortgage Consultant

It's a simple thing to do and they love that you went out of your way to send them something they would have to dig for and in some cases don't even know they need or could use for the tax man.

it's a great idea, and thanks for sharing!  i've been doing this for several years now, and it's always appreciated.  starting sending the HUD as a .pdf or on CD last year, which was an even bigger hit since clients could just forward on to the accountant. =)

and it's a REALLY big wow for the orphan buyers and sellers...

I offer the hud at the first of the year, also.  I also include a homestead exeption form if they were a buyer.  Florida has homestead exemtion and the "save our homes" ammendment.  The homestead exemption has to be filed for the SOH to start.  SOH restricts tax increases.

Leo, Leigh, and Chris I have not done that before, but I love the idea and I am going to doing. THANKS

Leo....good reminder.

And Leigh.... even a better idea, since I have most of my HUDS from title companies in an e-mail.
