HA!  There's a blast from the past.  About 29 years ago I'd say, I was a Care Bear at a Fred Meyer grand opening in the Beaverton area.  Lots of dancing with little kids and handing out candy.  But boy, do you sweat off some calories in those costumes!  lol.  Enjoy the grand opening!

Hi Karen,

What a good memory for you being a Care Bear.  The kids are so fun when they see something like the bears.  The opening will be crowded for sure, but how can I not go?  Thanks for sharing.

Mary, love the post about Freds. Lots of fond memories doing radio remotes for them. We drove by the new store on our way home from Bend on Sunday. What a great addition to the community - different style of architecture too. I like it.  :)

I actually stopped by to tell what a lovely comment you posted on Rebekah's blog for her 40th. Wise words and you're a pretty sexy sixty!  :)

Good Morning Debb,

The Grand opening should be interesting.  I am one to stay away from these events because there are so many people usually and I don't like pushy crowds.  However, tomorrow morning I think I am going to be brave and do it.  We will see.  Some good discounts and the Starbucks they are opening is their Flagship Starbucks for the area.  A good friend of mine is in charge of this opening as she has done with many openings but she says this one will be great.

I also want to thank you for your beautiful comment.  When I read it I immediately smiled and felt like a "million".  Thank you so much for really making my day.

Dear Mary, I love your watercolors, I come to check your real estate blog but found myself going to your gallery, and spent some time admiring your beautiful watercolors. Thanks for sharing those with us. BTW, take a pick at my artwork here:

Hello Antonio,

Thank you so much for stopping by and I love that you went to my gallery, I am thrilled that you like my artwork.  I went to your blog and clicked on your home tour.  I love your home and what you have done with all of the artwork both inside and outside.  Outstanding.  Your ballroom, this is a wow for me.  I am gathering that you and your lovely wife ballroom dance and it looks like you compete.  I love dance and used to dance a lot many years ago, there is really not too much like it.  When I was in High school in the early sixties I taught ballroom dance with a local dance studio.  Not like they dance now though, it seems like it was a lot different, but oh how I loved it, especially the waltz when you went all around the floor sp gracefully.  My first husband and I used to dance all the time but my second husband does not dance anymore so nuts!

Thank you for giving me the link I am so pleased.
