Fort Collins view of the RockiesIn my next life I have decided I want to come back in a different form.  It would be nice if I could live in a beautiful place, have people to wait on me, groom me, take care of my daily diet, accompany me during exercise.

Then I work, I want to draw crowds.  Huge crowds that wave and stare in glee and admiration.  I will march in  Parade for these crowds, of course I will have my hair braided quite lovely with pretty bows in it and I shall like to wear nice fluffy boots.Clydesdale Horse

I would like to be dressed in the finest accessories, leather, silver and gold.  These items shall be made especially for me and worn only by me, no hand-me-downs please!

My form shall be large, so large in fact I can eat what I please. Fifty pounds of food a day without having to worry about weight gain shall be acceptable to me.  I think I should weight about a ton or more.  Give or take a few hundred pounds, it won't matter.  My height shall be at least 6 feet tall, I want to see all that is happening around me.  Tall and powerful, yes, that shall be me.

I would prefer to be born from a long line of ancestors who are undoubtedly Champions. My beautiful mane shall be black, my face white and my body bay.  My feet shall be white, all four of them.

Beautiful legs of a Clydesdale HorseI will want friends at least 7 of them to travel with me.  We shall all be extremely gorgeous, with lovely mellow dispositions.  Of course!  We are Royalty, what shall we have to complain about?

We shall be a team, we will live, travel and work together. Everywhere we go we shall be meet with wide-eyed wonder. We are welcomed and loved.

We are the Budweiser Clydesdales, we bring the beer!

(On the first Saturday of every month, the Nice Folks at the Budweiser Brewery in Fort Collins, dress up one of the beautiful Clydesdales and patiently allow the public to photograph the horse and themselves.  Today families were showing up with their Santa Hats to take their Christmas Card photos!  What a wonderful idea.  Free tours of the Brewery are available every 30 minutes.  Free refreshments are offered at the end of the tour)  The Anheuser-Busch Brewery Tour is just another fun thing to do in Colorado.  Located just off I-25 in Fort Collins, you can't miss it.  The Plant can be seen for miles around!  Go enjoy!)

the Clydesdale Barn

See my home?  I have a very nice barn don't you think?

Thoughts to  ponder...

A team of these beautiful horses was given by August A. Busch, Jr. to his father, to celebrate the end of Prohibition in 1933.  Horse drawn beer wagons had been popular as a means (the only means) distributing the beer.  Mr. Busch was a stinkler for having the best looking horses and a sparking clean wagon.  He insisted that his beer would look good from the brewery to the pub.  His marketing obviously was right on, it has stood the test of time, all the way into the 21st Century.

How do you market yourself?  Will you and/or the way you present yourself last that long?

You've presented us with a dilemma - which is better, the photos or the prose?  Did you know that Augie Busch had a vacation "complex" here on Pass-a-Grille on St. Pete Beach? Takes up at least 3 lots on the intercoastal, has three separate "cottages", docking facilities for huge boats, high hedges separating the complex from the road.

The horse house looks better than some people houses I've seen.

Mariana ~ I was in heaven yesterday, I got to pet this beauty too.  My hubby wouldn't let me bring him home, no room in the patio house!

Rich ~ there are  many things I might want, but beer is totally safe with me.

Sharon ~ the barn was as clean as my kitchen. Actually it was probably cleaner!

One thing I love about moving to the country this year is that I now live in "horse country".  Just a simple drive to the grocery store, 14 miles to the nearest Giant, takes me past 13 miles of fields, horses, barns, cattle, prize cattle, one sheep farm, Around the corner is an Alpaca farm, the Potomac River.  The beauty is calming, restorative and peaceful.  I love it.

What did I lose by moving to the country??  Well, drive slowly at night because the deer are everywhere.  For some reason, they don't understand that when they start to cross the road IN A PACK, if the automobile going 50 can't stop, the auto repairs are going to be about $4,000, but the deer loses a bit more.

O.K., so I lost my favorite gourmet grocery store when I left Bethesda.  But there were no horses in Bethesda.

Excellent post Kristal!  I continue to use my brand/logo in more and more mediums of my business, and therefore, it is becoming more and more recognizable in the community.  I think a lot of Realtors (actually 99% of them) drop the ball by not branding or using an effective logo to market their business.  Have a wonderful Sunday!

Whadda life! Budweiser Clydesdale, equine royalty, likely descended from knight's chargers (what else could carry the weight of an armored knight?), pro'bly drink Guinness Stout! As always, fine photos.

Lenn ~ I know what you mean about those deer, they certainly can catch you by surprise.  Just the same if you likel the country it's a small price to pay for that enjoyment. I don't have to go to the country to see horses, that's how we get around in Denver...  :)

Tony ~ the reality is I give up planning in this life, I figured I could at least start on the next, maybe get it right this time!  :)

Christopher ~  keep working that brand...you'll be glad you did!

Leigh ~ that's the point, I figure the photos will get people's eyes off my grammar, etc.  :)

Dena ~ Hey girl I blew by your city this a.m....I'd stop and see you on the backside but hubby is freaking cause he's not at the office on a weekend...it will be a short trip to Taos for me!  :(

Ann ~ Beautiful yes!  that's why I want to be one. Pampered and beautiful!  :)

Linda ~ I know I feel asleep last night dreaming about that gorgeous horse.  There are 5 places that keep the Clydesdales for Bud around the country.  I remember N.H. as being one of them.

Jay ~ you must have sneaked in the back door friend...you are the 2nd person who told me about the knights in armor.  You'd get along real well with the first, my hubby. Can I send him over to your Old Codgers Meeting in the A.M?
