I am Now a DCC!! And of Course I Had to Reward Myself!

Yes....I just completed my training and received my DCC certification.

No, not Doctor of Chiropractic, that is a DC.

This is much better! Dewey Color Consultant!! How Fun Is That!

Yes, I went throught the two day class to learn now to put together 25,000 color combinations and make no mistakes. I learned so much. "We Make Color Easy"!

Undertones. Blends. Neutral blends. Split Compliments. Triadic Color Schemes. Achromatic Color Schemes.

What if my client wants a triadic color scheme with a neutral blend? Is that okay??

Now I know! Most importantly my client is never going to know these terms and they don't have to. But I can help them decide what colors they love and how to put them together.

Coordinator

Better yet, if the husband and wife have totally opposite tastes in color I now know how  to find some common ground. I now have the tools to do so.

OH...AND OF COURSE I HAD TO REWARD MYSELF.

If you have seen any of my posts I like to do that.

What better way than with a new bag. AND WHAT A BAG!!

Hand Bag

It holds my 'Color Coordinator' and 'Embrace Hue You Are' Books perfectly plus my note pad.

Can't you just see me showing up at a client's door with this bag? Isn't it fun? Oh...and what color scheme is it?? LOL

Are you looking for assistance with color in your home but are afraid of color? Don't know where to start or what colors to put together?

As a Certified Dewey Color Consultant Shar Sitter from Rooms With Style can give you the confidence to pick the right paint and fabric colors for one room or multiple rooms.

Shar - That's fantastic!  Now the big question is, what colour shoes are you going to wear with that bag?...

I've often wondered if it was worth taking the Dewey Colour course.  It is a hefty upfront investment, if I recall.  Also, I'm not sure there's anyone teaching it around here.  Will be looking forward to some colour posts!

I can wear any color with that bag Sally, that's the best part! The class is expensive but worth it I think.

This is going to make me so much more comfortable with color Anna. I have always loved color but sometimes would question the combinations, now I don't have to! It will even help in my clothing choices.

Yes Janice....I can tell them the orange, gold, and teal colors will be exactly right! LOL

Doesn't it though Susan!Exactly Hue I Am!! hahahaha

I am glad I could inspire you to reward yourself and to dig out the book Julie.

The reward was the icing Kathy after many hours of studying and coloring....yes, I had to get out the colored pencils and color many rooms in different color schemes for my test!

Ohh....I love being a sharp cookie Marti. Thank you!

I'd rather have shoes and purses than just about anything, definately a purse/shoeaholic!  Color is so important, in not only our homes but in everything we do.  Congrats!

Shar, I never heard of a Dewey Color Consultant...but any new trick/tools you have should give you the GREEN light! I have a trained eye for color too. I used to go on press runs and had a lot of experience with color matching. Most of my color changing comments were not visible to the normal eye, but I knew when it was right!

Laura, the upper midwest has only enough room for one of those bags. LOL

Thanks Debbie!

I'm with you Cindy. Shoes and purses, purses and shoes.....so fun and they always fit! Ha

Being the artist that you are I bet you have a wonderful eye for color Ellen. Some of us need extra training, ha.

Hi Shar--congratulations on completing the Dewey course.  I've looked at that a number of times.  I think your reward was just perfect--definitely makes the appropriate statement for a client call!

Well, I was thinking that DCC had something to do with the basketball jumps in the aqua fit class!  LOL....now that I know it's extra training to help take your talent to the next level, I'm doubly impressed.  Way to go, Shar!  I'm with Sally....where are those shoes to match the wonderful bag???

Shar, now you have to find something else to reward yourself after. There are at least 4 colors of shoes that you can buy to match your new purse.
