Someone To Trust

I haven't made it a point to remember all the service providers that I've used through the years and blog about them - and it's likely that I won't. But I do want to give credit where it's due, and share useful experiences I think you'll appreciate, into the future.

When my wife got home from work on Friday, she noticed a puddle of water beneath the water heater - not a good sign, not a good time. I was on my way home, but she called to tell me anyway. We had plans to go to the Melting Pot in Seattle that evening, so we said a prayer and took off anyway.

When we got home, the puddle had migrated to a small stream heading out of the garage. It was a slow drip so we tossed a bucket under the stand and went to bed. Again, plans on Saturday to drive around Lake Quinault took us away from the house, so we said a prayer and took off. But, not before contacting a couple of local companies to quote replacement.

I have recommended a particular company to clients before, but I take my own advice and get a couple quotes anyway. Fast Water Heater Company is who I've recommended, and they were the only company that could make it out on Sunday. We got a quote and an install time of between 10:30am and 12:30pm.

On Sunday morning, our technician Jeff Z called a half hour before arrival as promised to confirm directions and let us know his arrival time - which was a half hour early, and just perfect. He looked at our current setup, and adjusted the quote to include all the changes that needed to take place because of faulty parts or county code changes, making sure to ask if it was alright to proceed.

Jeff was very professional and very personable. He seemed to work very quickly, and the work also seems to be top notch. He is someone that I trust to recommend to my clients. Although I hope Jeff doesn't have to come out under the same circumstances, I'm happy to recommend him, have him to the house on personal time, and call him a client and trusted contractor.

Hey, Jason! This is a great way to build bridges with local businesses and to give recommendations to clients moving to your area. You want to use a Title that will be easily searched. Whenever I do a Local Business post on my blog, I say something like

"In Hot Water with my Water Heater" - Local Business on the Kitsap Peninsula WA

Then your tags should give the name of the company. Somewhere in the post you should give your readers the name of the company, their address, and phone number. It would have been nice to insert a picture of Jeff actually doing the repairs.

Just a few suggestions for next time....

Love it! Thanks for the tips Rich.

I did include a link to Fast Water Heater Company's website, which has their contact info. Knowing that, should the address and phone number still be included?
