Home Staging: Update A Traditional Dining Room

Nestings Home Staging recently completed a whole-house staging for this Fairfield County, CT, condominium. The dining room is sizable; it fit a traditionally-sized dining table, sideboard, corner cabinet and six dining chairs, but it was a little crowded. After painting, chandelier replacement, and new flooring, the dining table was brought back in. Nestings provided the chairs, console table, and accessories.

After: Subtle, tonal palette expands the space, and the properly sized chandelier does not overwhelm.

After: Full-length drapery was added to make the ceilings seem higher. Vintage dining chairs and faux-tortoiseshell vintage console should help appeal to the target buyer: downsizers or professional couples.

The white trim made the walls pop beautifully and worked so well with the chairs. My pet peeve is these builder's grade light fixtures that people live with for years!
