A Million Dollar Ice Cream Cone? Bet You Can't Eat It

It’s National Ice Cream Month! Yeah! And, there are lots of ice cream shops in New Port Richey, Florida to help you celebrate!

Did you know that there is a $1,000,000. ice cream cone? Yup, I said 1 Million. Bruster’s had this one commissioned in a likeness of their waffle cone. It was created by Lazare Kaplan International, Inc. and consists of nearly 20 troy ounces of 18k white and yellow gold, 548 round Lazare Diamonds, 87 Lazare square emerald cut diamonds, and one 5.63 carat Fancy Intense Yellow diamond. The 152.16 carat total weight one-of-a-kind piece has a retail value of $1 million.

Unfortunately, you can’t eat that one; you can buy it if you have the disposable income, but you wouldn’t want to eat it after you bought it.

So if eating ice cream is more your thing (it is mine), then these local ice-cream shops are ready and waiting for you to come and celebrate National Ice Cream Month all during July.

I can't even imagine paying that much for an ice cream cone; but then again, I never dreamt that a gallon of gasoline would be where it is today either.

I hate to say it, but that's crazy! For that kind of money, I'd rather have the cow!

Toni, love the responses to this post and Nick's response was a hoot!  I love ice cream, but until I get my gall bladder removed I can't have any..boo hoo....but if I were to get that $1M cone I would definitely sell it and buy all the ice cream I want...well after my gall bladder surgery of course :)

Hi Toni,

I didn't know it was National Ice Cream month in July.  They certainly picked a good month for it.  We have Baskin-Robbins and  Dairy Queen in my area so I will have to stop by and visit.  I like ice cream but can't imagine seeing a million dollar ice cream cone...  thanks for sharing it!

Toni, Looks like New Port Richey has plenty of local places to enjoy some yummy ice cream. We have plenty of Baskin Robbins too on Long Island, but no Carvel by you?

Summer time and eating ice cream just seem to go together. My favorite is peach, mango, and strawberry. Looks like you have many ice cream shops to pick from. Just this one time let everyone forget the calories and keep the economy going with buying an ice cream cone this weekend, whether your're in Texas or Florida support these businesses and have fun doing it.
