What a Great week!! I have had the privilege of guesting on two local radio shows talking about Florida Keys Real Estate in the last 7 Days!! It has been a great opportunity to discuss our current market and the benefits for Buyers and Seller alike and share my passion for the Keys and the joy I get being a Keys Ambassador who just happens to sell real estate.
One of the common questions I get from Clients coming from outside the area is, "OK we LOVE the great Fishing and Diving...but is there ANYTHING to do at Night??"
Many people are not aware of ALL the Great activities we has as and after the Sun goes down. And it ALL starts AT Sundown. From Mallory Square in Key West to the Lor-El-Lei in Islamorada to Jimmy Johnson's Big Chill in Key Largo, and Gilbert's at Jewfish Creek, Sundown in the Keys is a revered event! 
In the Upper Keys we are fortunate to have a fantastic radio station WFKZ 103.1that also broadcasts online at Sun103.com, so that folks worldwide can take a slice of the Keys home with them and bask in our Key-z-ness. We locals also tune in as it is a common thread that we share, whether it's Captains Skip Bradeen and Matt Bellinger giving their multiple daily fishing reports to the 5 week night Live radio shows that are broadcast in the 6-7 hour in the early evenings.
Now, these live shows are a lot of fun. Each night they take place with a unique host for each of the weeknights and at a different local Bar/Restaurant. It's a great real slice of Keys Life as each show has its own personality, and there are usually food and drink specials and often free appetizers and giveaways...it's a great way to catch up with old friends and make new one at the local watering hole!
Monday Night has the "From The Water Show" From the Fish House Encore with Host Mark Mills, and sponsored by my friend and collegue Joel Young
Tuesday has "Girls Night Out" from the Iconic Green Turtle in Islamorada with Host Kim Cheser, sponsored by my friend and collegue Bill Belian.
Wednesday has "The Zane Grey Lounge Live Radio Show" from the stunning Zane Grey Lounge inside World Wide Sportsman in Islamorada, hosted by Joey Naples and Matt Bellinger - A Blend of Current Keys Happenings and Fishing Talk with drink specials and free appetizers and sponsored by Yours Truly
Thursday is the Turtle Club Radio Show from Snappers in Key Largo with Host DJ Dave - offering 20% of your tab if you re a Turtle Club Member!! Also sponsored by Yours Truly. If you aren't a turtle Club Member already...contact me and I'll fill you in.
Friday is the Friday Night Radio Show with Captain Bill Kelly and Legendary Fishing Icon Captain Skip Bradeen and sponsored by my friend and collegue Carolyn Ambler, kicking off the weekend Keys Style from Wahoo's at Whale Harbor with great drink and appetizer specials.
All of these shows take place from 6-7 pm except Thursday's which is 6:30-7:30 and each is a whole lot of fun.
And when it's dark..hit the multitude of bars, restaurants and lounges for great local live music.
If it's a sense of community you seek, each of the Keys' Chambers of Commerce have something going on all the time with local events. The Islamorada Chamber, of which The Conchquistador is a proud member of, hosts its monthly Islamorada After Hours Party on the 3rd Tuesday of each month.
And we haven't EVEN tough on Morada Bay's Full Moon party!!!! Worth a full post itself.
