This weeks calls and Internet Inquiries were interesting:
The one that really cuts through to heart is the call I received from England one morning early.
Caller: " I am calling your from London England. My questions isn't about real estate. However from what I can see it appears your team knows the area well." I am looking for a farm where my Mom used to go all the time when I was little. I remember the horse farm as being picturesque and peaceful. Well when Mom past away, she wanted her ashes sprinkled on the land that she loved so much. The called said, I was only twelve when that happened and I was hoping you could help me locate it. I have not been able to find it searching on Google
Answer:
This call was difficult to answer. I was able to ask around and learned that the farm her Mom dearly loved was not a thriving new home community. The thought of that, makes one pause as a blogger and sit quietly in awe of the power of the Internet. As sad as that would be to share that with her I sent her a response remail with my findings. This is the email I received in return. ( Per the readers request, she has allowed me to post this) Peggy- " I had Googled it for years and found nothing andno I can see why. Although I am incredibly said about whats been done I like to thing that her ashes have already left their into the trees, the air the water the clouds and travels the earth a hundred times already. I always look at hte birds over here and wonder if a little part of her is here, back in London where she was from."Below is the photo she shared we me of her Mom at the farm. In words of comfort I said, people leave this earth, but the relationship still lives on in photos like the one you shared weith me. I am humbled to be apart of her story to help you find closure.

Caller: "Peggy we have been ready to buy a home now for several months. Why is it so hard to find a home in Lake Ridge Virginia within our $200,000 budget? "
Answer:This was a tough conversation, however one that had to be handled. The client has grown frustrated with finding a home she considers live-able. She said " They make buying a home look so easy on HGTV!" She was choking back the tears. I explainedto her, the reason is simple. You are looking for a home under $200,000 and what is happening. Investors are beating you to the finish line,they have more money, less emotional attachment and they make decisions fast. They buy these home with cash, fix them up and bring them back to the market at a higher price in amazing shape. So if you want a house, you may need to expand your search area to outside of Lake Ridge Virginia.
Update: 7-18-2011. She and her husband found a home two days ago they got it!
