"Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn".  The Real Estate Market has most certainly seen better days.  Like Scarlett, plowing barren soil, solid closings are far and few between for many Real Estate Professionals.  But all is not lost.  While the days of rapidly escalating prices may be "Gone With The Wind", Tara in all its glory faced challenges from the tax man-much in the same way we see so many properties now.  What is old is new.  How we see opportunity may need to change with the market.

1)  Trimming back the fat.   Excessive inventory which has been langishing on the market way to long are niw prime for picking for buyers.  Large homes can be purchased for moderate home prices. Consumers are able to buy more home for less money.

2)  The mortgage process has become a little more complex-not insurmountable, just a little more reserved.  If yu are considering purchasing a home, get Pre-Approved from a lender first.  This fortifies your strength as a buyer. It also allows you to properly budget and then begin the home search process.

3)  Perks and Incentives- Homes that have been on the market for extended periods of time, have likely come to realize the market is price driven. There are some excellent incentives available in Osceola County currently. CLosing cost contributions, upgrades, and other added perks which make this market "Choice" for buyers.

Consumers are very confused, frustrated and filled with uncertainty.  One thing does remain constant however, if they have a genuine need for housing, there are some incredible deals available.

Hi Allison-

All good points -

Unfortunately, Consumers are confused - with all the negative press and the BS ads out there, you really can't blame them!

We just have to keep getting the real info out there and things will turn around.

Hi Allison,

I love your analogy and photos on this post.  There are great opportunities now in real estate for Buyers but it appears that they are being scared off by many nay-sayers.  That's too bad because when opportunity knocks - one should answer!

Thanks Lisa

Remember it is the nay sayers that wonder how the guy next door was able to afford that amazing house. They could have, would have, should have ,,,,but didn't.
