Fireworks As Art -- Astros Game 7/15/11
The Astros lost to the Pirates last night 4 to 0, but I still had a great time.
On Fridays after the game they open the retractable roof and shoot off fireworks . These pictures turned out to look more like art than pictures of regular firework displays. This looks like a blue flame in the middle.
This one kind of looks like a person with a poofy hairstyle. The yellow and blue lines kind of remind me of arms. I had the camera set to take firework pictures. I also had the flash turned off.
It held the shutter open a long time to gather as much light as it could. I used a Cannon PowerShot SD 960 IS Digital Elph camera.
This is one of my favorites. There are lots of great lines and colors in this one.
This reminds me of a wand. It is also the most recognizable as a normal firework picture. Hope you enjoyed these pictures.
