biz planIs it almost time to start working on my 2012 BUSINESS PLAN?

I always say "Plan your work and work your plan". Well, 2011 is working out to be a stellar year for my business partner, Belinda, and I so far.  We are controlling our expenses better and still have money in the budget to upgrade for the future in the way of signs, bright lite up flyer boxes,  etc.

I always work on my business plan on a mini vacation over Thanksgiving up in a cabin at Steamboat Springs, but this year I am thinking of working on it early.

I just wonder what will be the next new thing out there that I need to invest in for our business.

Any suggestions?

Oh boy.  Business plan again????  How did that sneak up on us so fast.  Maybe you should budget for a new iPad2.  Oh wait - I just bought one.  Or a new camera.  Oh wait - I just bought one.

Belinda,  They must of been in the miscell. area of the budget, or was that a plan for 2012.

The best investment of money and efforts is to do those things that will generate more clients. I hope you are having a great weekend.

Thanksgiving is a great time to start brainstorming that kind of stuff.  It's quiet, not too many interruptions and it's easy to get people together from your team to hang out for the holidays and talk a little business.  Can't believe it is almost that time of year already...where did the time go?!

The best investments I've made in my business have been 1) the Fujitsu ScanSnap and 2) DocuSign.

Will, It' great that you are planning ahead. I am looking into joining a team myself. I know I could invest in some more Nicer Signs for my Open Houses.

Hi Will, you and Belinda are having a great year, so you need to see what you are doing this year that is different from last year and keep doing it.  Do you two attend seminars in other states and have a coach?  That would be something to do that inspires.  The two of you should join me in Austin, Texas in September for Mega Agent Camp.  It is a shot in the arm and you come away with incredible A'Ha's and things to take your business to the next level.  You would love it.

Hi Will, we all need to continue doing more with le$$.  Economic fluctuations are great lessons to rein in frivilous spending.  Good work in 2011 and just keep increasing your bottom line.

Will - congratulations for the year you and Belinda have had so far.  I agree to see what you have done differently and keep doing that.  I would also cut out any thing that has not worked.  I am thinking of hiring a consultant regarding how I can improve my SEO and to give my website a critical eye to see if that should be changed in any way.  I have had great results so far with both...but, if I am missing something or it could be improved...I want to do that.

I have also tried hard to make sure my Localism and property posts to my Blog are at least 75% of the total posts.  Good luck on the plan...keep us posted.

Thanks Roy,  Always thinking ahead.

Hi Jennifer,  Thanks for stopping by.  No phone calls in the mountains where we stay at, so it is the perfect time to work on the game plan for the next year.

Chris Ann, Thanks for the suggestions, I will check them out.

Hi Jerry,  Make sure on the new open house signs, have your name and phone number on them, plus I put a rider on top of ours that has either FREE SPORTS SCHEDULES or  FREE LIST OF HOMES IN AREA!

Hi Judith,  I think Belinda should go in Sept.  I will talk to her about it.  One of us would have to stay around for our current business.

Hi Mona,  You are right more for less, but I have a hard time with that, but I try to live on a budget.
