One of the most prominent builders in Livermore during the later 60s, early 70s was Sunset Homes, having built two major developments – Sunset East and Sunset West.  Sunset East sits at the southeastern side of Livermore, just in front of Wine Country.  These family homes were mostly of the Çalifornia one story ranch, but there were two story models as well. Offering a variety of floor plans and sizes, there was a model to suit nearly everyone.

Lot sizes range from 7000-9000 on average, but a some larger lots exist. Over the years, many of these homes have been remodeled and expanded, but the floor plan options below signify original builder sizes.  All have two car garages, except where noted.

Karen, that's a great summary of a homogeneous neighborhood. We don't have many of those in San Francisco itself, except "out in the Avenues". The Sunset and The Parkside.

No John, you have a more eclectic mix of homes. We have lots of subdivisions, but by style, you can sure tell what decade they're from.

I read this and think about how much I wish I owned a 4-bedroom home. But no, I've got the square footage but only a 2-bedroom, which means my office is in the family room and I don't have my own room much less a guest room. This is a nice local angle for Livermore, though. Great localism post.
